box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® cake mix (any flavor)
1 1/3
cups water
1/3
cup vegetable oil
3
eggs

Directions

  • 1 Heat waffle maker. (Waffle makers without nonstick coating may need to be brushed with vegetable oil or sprayed with cooking spray.)
  • 2 Make cake batter as directed on box, using water, oil and eggs.
  • 3 For each waffle, pour batter onto center of hot waffle maker. (Check manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle maker. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle.
  • 4 Serve waffles warm or cold with toppings of your choice.

Waffles can be served with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream and other toppings, like fruit or chocolate chips. Candy sprinkles or chopped nuts can be added, too.

Two or thee types of batter can be swirled into the waffle maker to make fun colors and flavors.

eh...they were ok. My kids liked them, to me they just taste a little weird, they don't taste like waffles they taste like cake batter. Probably wouldn't make them again, they don't crisp up and stay firm like a real waffle they get all soft and mushy VERY quickly, rubbery almost, hard to cut up.
