it was very good... buttery melt in your mouth. I made this during the xmas season into candy-cane cut outs and used butterscotch chips to make the candy cane lines on them. but some of my family argue that the plain ones were better! good luck and happy eatings!

Delicious, traditional shortbread--use only butter! Exactly fits a Wilton cookie mold. Spray the mold with cooking spray, sprinkle each cookie mold with colored sugar (large-size crystals from bulk foods or specialty baking shops best), press dough into indentations--like Play-Doh! Bake per recipe directions and unmold 12 gorgeous holiday shortbreads!

great to make when not a lot of "fancy" ingrediants are on hand-and to my surprise the taste reminds me strongly of "pecan-shortbread-sandie" cookies from the store. I used a round biscuit cutter and baked mine on a upside down cookie sheet.
