Absolutely delicious. If you plan to bake them ahead for an event, wait until the day of to put the frosting and salt on them. I made the mistake of doing this the night before and ended up with crusty frosting and the salt had "melted" through.

I made these this afternoon and they were a huge success. I didn't have butterscotch chips so I used the wrap caramels and cut them in pieces and mixed them in as directed. They came out a bit more muffin"y" but still delicious!!! The salt makes it!

they were very good but the frosting was to thick to "frost" the cupcakes. Will make again though.

made the cupcakes, not the frosting. Cupcakes are good, not very buterscotchy... it's more like plain cupcakes with butterscotch chunks. maybe next time i'll chop the butterscotch finner.
