This quick and easy Italian favorite is topped with a savory blend of tomatoes, garlic, basil and capers.

This is soo good! My first bruschetta, and I loved it. The flavor is so strong; every ingredient can be tasted in the mix. The capers add a surprising twist, too!

I LOVE this recipe! I use 3 Roma tomatoes, finely chop mined garlic, add a little bit more fresh basil and chop up the capers. I add some of the olive oil (previous review is right the better the oil the better the taste...NO VEGETABLE OIL!!!). I first followed the recipe and did the toast, but we like to let the flavors blend overnight, mix it up and eat it on saltine crackers.Easy, healthy snack.

Excellent & easy. My family commented that it reminded them of a fancy Italian restaurant! The only change I made was to brush the bread with seasoned olive oil, the kind you use for dipping. Fresh basil is a must.

This was great!! I did a few adjustments to the recipe that if you give it a try I am sure you will love. I used stewed sliced tomatoes instead of what the recipe called for. I also used parmesean cheese and pepperoni slices and even though it still looked like bruschetta tasted like a small homemade pizza. Definitely will make this again.

I loved this recipe but I skinned the tomatoes & added a couple of capfuls of balsalmic vinegar to the tomato mix. Also I find the better the olive oil the better the over all flavor & don't reccomend using vegetable oil.

Admittedly garlic cloves vary in size. The two I used contributed an overwhelming garlic flavor and bite. We like bruschetta as a combination salad and bread part of our meal, not necessarily as an appetizer. I will make this again because it is easy but will rub a cut garlic clove on the bread instead of adding garlic to the tomatoes. I found the capers to be an optional ingredient.
