YUMMY! I went the natural route, so I made the brownies w/o the box and used an apricot/peach preserve b/c I couldn't find a natural apple jelly. I also defrosted some frozen raspberries b/c my store didn't carry fresh today. But I will definitely repeat this one! Wonderful! :)

Was not able to find the gluten free brownies however made with a normal brownie mixed have for work pot luck and everyone loved them. They were one of the first desserts to be gone. Also very easy to make.

I have made this for "girl's weekend" last summer and they just loved it. It is so simple to make, and it's a great dessert, nothing better than chocolate and fresh fruit in the summer. I found that the pie needs to be refrigerated until serving, and then, this dessert is the first to be gone. I have used the Supreme Brownie Orignal Mix, which was in the book.

This recipe was a HUGE hit at our July 4th family party - this was the first item on the dessert table to be wiped out in minutes! Used regular brownie mix (didn't need gluten-free). The frosting doesn't fare well if left sitting for too long unless refrigerated until just before serving. Also, I read that other reviewers added the apple jelly to the cream cheese, but the purpose of brushing it on is to glaze the fruit; don't mix it in! Thin the jelly (I used peach as I didn't have apple) and brush it on RIGHT BEFORE serving, left sitting for too long will make a runny mess. Other reviewers also added chocolate to the top; I believe this would make this dessert too sweet, almost unpalatable. This works in a 9x13" pan as well.

This was not a hit for me. The sugar in the jelly and cream cheese makes the strawberries weep. Within 2 hours the brownie base was mushy and by the next day I had to use a paper towel to absorb all the juice in the pan. I could not bring this to the 4th of July picnic for a dish to pass. Where did I go wrong?

We had over twenty people at the family picnic and everyone enjoyed it! Its a delight to find gluten free foods that are simple yet delicious! I will use this recipe many times over. Only one thing I did different was using a cookie sheet instead of the pizza pan. I found it to be more portable. The only down side is not finding the gf Betty Crocker brownie mix. Had to use something more pricey then I'd like.

Definitely warm the apple jelly or honey in the microwave for a few seconds. It will make the jelly easier to spread and shine up the fruit. To flavor your cream cheese, try my trick of almond extract or vanilla extract. By changing up the extracts and fruit you can make all kinds of yummy dessert pizzas (Think pina colada or black forest or.....)

Unable to get gluten free brownie mix in rural area. Used chocolate chunk this added extra choc which went well with fruit. Increased cream cheese mixture by half. Read other reviews about adding apple jelly to cream cheese but wanted the glaze which jelly would give fruit. So heated jelly in microwave (watch temp too hot will damage fruit) to thin it out then brushed easily on fruit. Gave a nice sheen to fruit and helped keep fruit from being to tart. Fun change from sugar cookie base.
