1 box (1 lb 2.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Original Supreme Premium brownie mix
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
Football-shaped cookie cutter, 3 1/2x2 inches
1 cup Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting (from 16 oz container)
Betty Crocker® white decorating icing (from 4.25-oz tube)
  1. Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line 9-inch square pan with foil, letting foil hang 2 inches over sides of pan. Spray foil with cooking spray.
  2. In medium bowl, stir brownie mix, chocolate syrup, oil, water and eggs until well blended. Spread in pan.
  3. Bake 34 to 37 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool completely, about 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Using foil to lift, remove brownies from pan. With football-shaped cookie cutter, cut brownies into football shapes. Spread frosting on brownies. Pipe on decorating icing to look like football laces.

No football cookie cutter? Make a paper cutout, and cut the brownies around the shape.

I made these last night for our SuperBowl party. They were absolutely delicious and a big hit with our guests. The kids couldn't wait to eat their dinner so they could eat a football brownie!

These were great. If you can't find a cookie cutter do what I did. Empty a can of vegetables, cut off the top and the bottom lids, and bend the can to the shape you want. It worked great!! These were a hit last year, now my kids won't let me come to one of the football game gatherings without them.

Yay me! My brownies were eaten over the other ones! Found cookie cutters @Wal-Mart. For icing use: Ready-To-Use squeezable icing. That made it faster

I would use wax paper in the place of aluminum foil. When I tried to take the brownie from the aluminum foil the foil tore and the brownie stuck even with using cooking spray.

I made this last year and it took some patience to get the football "stitch" look but I was so excited when they were done that I couldn't wait to serve them. And they were so yummy! Totally worth a little extra time

Was also thinking you could put some store-bought vanilla frosting in a piping bag and use that for the stitching instead of the frosting mix, as one person said their's was too runny.
