I just finished baking this cake and of course eating a slice while it was still warm, I gota say it has to be the best cake I have made until today. It was moist, light and perfectly sweet, plus my family loved it which is all that matters. I did however switch the corn syrup with confectioner sugar to make a caramel glaze instead of a sauce, and let me tell you it was a crowd pleaser.

This cake got rave reviews from everyone who tried it! Be sure not to skimp out when following the instruction "Beat on medium speed about 5 minutes..." This ensures that the consistency is light and fluffy, rather than dense. Great recipe!!

I love this recipe. I jazzed it up by adding some apples and added some cinnamon. I also added some Caramel to the sauce and got rave reviews for but the original and the altered. Everyone loved it warm too!

My husband about died over this, and I didn't even make the caramel sauce for it. I will definitely make this again.

I took this to a potluck, and everyone was arguing over taking home the small amount that was left over

This is a sure win with the family. This is my fiance''s fav. recipe! It is even good with switching out splenda for the sugars in the recipe (for a slightly lighter version). This is really good with cinammon ice cream. Yum!

This cake is SO yummy! We just baked it and were very pleased with the results. I recommend eating the cake while still warm- -topped with the warm, yummy butter sauce...along with a cup of your favorite hot tea. It makes a great treat on a cold and snowy evening. We used the High Altitude adjustments and it worked PERFECTLY! Can''t wait to make it again for my mom! Thanks Betty! =)

This cake is a huge hit whenever I bake it! The brown sugar creates a very unique flavor that is unforgettable. Being from a long line of bakers (in our family), I like to experiment by trial and error. The cake tasted a little dry the first time out, so I added a 1/4 c. more butter and a 1/4 c. of vegetable/canola oil. MMMMM...moister results. Though I loved the butter sauce, I sometimes omit it completely and just dust the cake with confectioner''s sugar. A little lighter and the brown sugar taste of the cake is more enhanced. All in all, no matter what alterations you make, this cake is a definite keeper!!

Excellent cake to serve guests. However, I would cook it less next time. Definitely a classic.
