Brie with Dried Fruit

Pantry ingredients elevate a wheel of Brie into a company-ready appetizer, smothered in a rich orange-flavored caramel sauce, dried fruit and pecans.

round (8 oz) Brie cheese
tablespoons maple-flavored syrup
tablespoons packed brown sugar
tablespoon orange-flavored liqueur
cup dried fruit (cranberries, raisins and/or apricots)
cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
Toasted baguette slices

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with foil. Place cheese on cookie sheet.
  • 2 Bake 10 minutes or until cheese begins to soften.
  • 3 Meanwhile, in 8-inch sauté pan or skillet, heat syrup, brown sugar and liqueur to boiling. Cook until mixture becomes thick and syrupy.
  • 4 Place warm Brie on serving plate. Top with dried fruit and pecans. Pour syrup over top. Serve with baguette slices.

Use whatever combination of dried fruit that you have in your pantry. Any combination will taste delicious.

The Brie can also be served with crackers or sliced apples.
