This bread is the best bread machine classic white bread recipe i have made. the texture is closer to store bought bread than most recipes. It is nothing like a pound cake as the description states though.

Wonderful recipe!!!! I use this recipe to make the bread so as to use for French Toast! My family asks for it all the time and what a sinch to make with the breadmaker and leftovers are rare.

This bread came out super light and delicious. (Not pound cake tasting though-it tasted like bread). This is the easiest bread I've ever made. Love how I can throw it all in the bread machine before going back to work after lunch and walk in the door after work to fresh baked bread (and slow cooker stew!!)

I added 2 tsp of cinnamon and a cup of raisins and voila!, a really great cinnamon raisin bread. This is now my basic white bread receipt

Excellent! I had no sour creme, so used vanilla yougurt instead. This is the best loaf of white bread that has come out of my bread machine. It is light, evenly risen, a great, smooth texture and moist. This one goes in my special receipts file and I'm sharing it with friends.

Absolutely wonderful! This starts with a hint of sweetness and finishes with a light vanilla overture compiled with a soft chewy texture plus small evenly distributed air pebbles and produces consistent results over several loafs. Can't get any better than this only different. I agree ignore the description.

Ignore the descriptions for this bread (not sure where they got pound cake). This makes a fabulous classic white sandwich bread. It was moist, light and delicious! Great with butter and jam. I did not find this recipe to be heavy at all nor did I think the vanilla or sour cream detracted from the taste (if anything they are hardly noticed), instead they add moisture to this bread.

JUST AWESOME. Recipe came out as indicated. We preferred it with the sour cream as we have tried it both ways. Instant hit with the whole family. :) yummmm

This is a good bread but it does not match the description that they have written. It's good if you want a white bread with a very subtle sweetness.
