cups Gold Medal® Better for Bread™ flour

teaspoon ground ginger

teaspoon ground cinnamon

teaspoons bread machine yeast

  • 1 Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  • 2 Select Basic/White cycle. Use Medium or Light crust color. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on wire rack.

The recipe as given is for a 1-lb. machine--*not* the specified 1.5. It worked fine in my Mini Zo, although we weren't very fond of the result. The molasses taste made you expect a sweetness where there was none.

I was looking forward to this loaf & boy am I disappointed. The amount of flour asked for in this recipe was not enough, so the loaf was doughy. The flavor is not bad and I might try it again with more flour.
