This is an excellent sourdough recipe! I have made variations on this recipe about 5 times using my Oregon Trail sourdough starter and it's our favorite bread. I have a Zojirushi machine. My favorite variation: sub in 1/2 cup wheat germ for 1/2 c of the flour (adds a bit of texture, and it has health benefits), add 1 tablespoon ground flax, add 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (basil, sage, chives, thyme, oregano). Delicious!
