I made this for a co-workers birthday. Everyone raved about it. It is simple to make and everyone thought it was made from scratch. Even my kids (5 & 2) ate it and said it was great. I have given recipe out to 8 people. You bet it will be at the 4th of July potluck with my family.

Sounds delicious to me, even with the chocolate chip mix. I usually make my shortcakes with reduced fat Bisquick and my family loves them. If John is concerned about the "unsuspecting" getting carbs and fat maybe he should not be serving desserts at all.
