I made this using frozen berries, and maybe that's why the amount seemed so pitiful. I wanted a deep dish cobbler, so I added two more cups of berries and 1/2c more sugar. I stiil used the 8x8 pan, and it was everything I was hoping it would be. The crust was a surprise; light and cake like! Terrific.

I loved this recipe!! It was super easy and delicious! I used tart marionberries which were perfect, and used around 3/4 cup sugar and 1/2 lemon juice instead of the 1 cup sugar. This was a big hit with my husband and myself! YUMMY!

So delicious! I can see why it won the recipe contest. I used home-grown blackberries for a really fresh taste. And it was surprisingly simple and easy to make. It didn't take long at all to prepare.

This is an absolutely yummy cobbler. I especially like the way it is put together. I double it and use a 9 by 12 inch baking dish, and when my daughter wants some, I use Splenda and it tastes every bit as wonderful. I've made three since the beginning of this berry season and I'm starting my fourth one now. Thanks for the GREAT recipe. Tara Lee

I made the cobbler yesterday with blackberries that I picked. It turned out so scrumptious, perfect sweet/tart taste and perfect consistency. Didn't need any cream, etc., wonderful as is. Didn't last long though. Luckily, I have a lot more berries in the freezer. Blackberry cobbler in January, maybe?

I am not a baker in any sense of the word and my family runs for their lives when they see me attempt baking... anyway, I hand picked some fresh blackberries and brought them home. I followed the recipe and it came out perfect. Baked for 45 minutes. Hubby even had seconds!!!
