The ingredients look like a winner, but the preparation needs changes! The garlic and onion are overpowering raw, so I tried sauteeing them in just a bit of olive oil until soft. Flavor was greatly improved. Also doubled the cumin and added about a teaspoon of chile powder. Served warm, this was MUCH better!

Thought the dip was ok, but I wasn't thrilled with it. Probably would not make it again.

Better the next day but it is missing something and I don't know what. Kinda bland. We can taste the onion though. Used it with tortilla chips and spread it on a tortilla with egg and cheese to make a breakfast burrito. I'm not going to give up on this recipe though because it's super healthy!

I had high expectations for this after reading the other reviews, but was not impressed when I made it. I took the heated route for the dip (although it didn't taste any better after I let it cool either). After making it strictly by the recipe, it tasted bland. I then added some garlic powder and salt which made it a little more palatable, but I will definitely not be making this again.

How much is a serving? How many servings does this make?

Fabulous dip! I needed something last-minute to take to a gathering of friends and found this on your website. I must admit when I got it all mixed up my kiddos complained about the way it looked, but once we got to the gathering and the first person tasted it - - it only lasted for about 15 minutes! When we came home later than evening my 7-year old daughter asked if I had anymore! The yogurt makes it, as it changes the heavy bean texture to a much lighter dip. I would prefer it to be spicier but that change can be made to each persons taste. I highly recommend this dip!

This recipe is good. But, I would cut the onions in half. All you can taste is onions. I will make it again and maybe next time use jalapenos instead of chiles.

I make this when we are having blackbeans and rice for dinner. we always have leftover beans, and i use them for this dip. I skip the yogurt because the beans have alot of juice from the cooking.

I made this for superbowl Sunday, and it was fantastic! Very yummy and easy. Use the leftovers inside of tortillas with grated cheese for a quick snack!
