These turned out great and were so good! Very sweet so we could only eat one but you could make them a little smaller if you wanted to. SUPER easy to make. I think it's a great alternative to a birthday cake.

@cheerfsu first off love your login name and second: That sounds like a fabulous idea! I think I may have to copy that for a get together one day. I also would like to incorporate maybe a zebra like design on the top. Not sure how it will turn out, but it doesn't hurt to try. Thanks for the idea though. LOVE IT!

I just made these to "test" the recipe for my daughter's birthday party and they are so good I'm going to have to hide them so I don't eat them all! For her party I plan on making them with black and white sprinkles and using hot pink sugar instead of the confetti sprinkles.

These cookies were a BIG hit! I sent them with my husband to work for a co-workers birthday along with two other types of cookies and these were the first to go! I cant wait to try them again with different cake/icing combinations.

I made these for my son's bday at his school. I did not have milk so I didn't add it and it worked fine. I also used 2 boxes of mix and only the 1/2 cup of butter because that's all I had. It worked just great. I had leftover homemade cream cheese frosting so that is what we put in the middle. They are SO tasty and I'm sure his classmates will agree. This recipe is a keeper.

Funny thing, I received an email about these cookies on the very afternoon I needed a recipe for a birthday party I was going to. I didn't have much hope for them in the way of taste but they looked so cute. I ended up making them (so easy) and I have to say they were fantastic!! They really do taste like birthday cake (I guess from teh sprinkles). There were NO leftovers. What a cute way to celebrate! Thanks for the recipe. My son has already requested these for his birthday.
