pkg milk choc chips, melted, cooled

cups powdered sugar

tablespoon light corn syrup
  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg. Coat 2 9 in cake pans with Pam. Line bottom of pan with parchment paper circle. Dissolve coffee in boiling water; reserve. In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt. Whisk in buttermilk, eggs, oil, and reserve coffee mix until smooth. Divide batter into pans. Sprinkle with mini chips. Bake 30-40 min. Cool 10 min. Transfer from pans to racks; remove parchment. Cool completely.
  2. On med-high speed, beat butter until smooth. Add melted choc chips; beat until blended. Gradually beat in powdered sugar and corn syrup until light and fluffy. Place one cake layer on serving plate; spread with 1 cup frosting. Top with remaining cake layer. Frost cake top and side with rest of frosting
