An easy batter. It can be taken up a notch by adding more seasonings--I like to use Old Bay and some cayenne. I use this for large shrimp, and we love it.

Hubby and son are crazy about this recipe. I have made it several times now and they like it more every time I make it. They said to quit looking for other recipes... it doesn't get any better than this one.

This batter was okay. I thought the Bisquick was too bland, next time I'll use a seasoned flour. Also the batter put a very heavy coating on the fish, and my family prefers a lighter batter, so we ended up thinning it with more beer. Otherwise, it's a pretty good way to eat fish.

I thought these were very, very good! My husband thought they needed some more spices added to it, but I thought they were fantastic. I used catfish. They were really crispy on the outside & very moist on the inside! Thanks for a great recipe.

Delicious! Very light crust. Easy to do. As my husband and son would say a Definite Do Over!

I tried this with whiting, it came out pretty good. But some of the fillets I had to fry twice to get them extra crispy. Paired them with frozen steak fries that I popped in the oven. P.S. Choose your beer wisely...it can greatly enhance the flavor of this dish.
