Rich chocolate stout frosting and crunchy pretzels take this chocolate chip cookie to a whole new sweet and salty level. This is a cookie you don’t want to miss!

Im looking forward to making these! Use beer like Guiness stout. It comes in single tall cans has a sweet smooth chocholatey taste.use the few tbls for the recipe and enjoy the rest. Pour in a mug 3/⁴ way let it sit. Then pour the rest. In the words of homer simpson "mmmm beeeer" lol. The alchol cooks off in response to the other person saying nothing should have beer in it.

These cookies were fabulous! The pretzel in the dough compliments the chocolate so well!. You do not taste the beer but it does lend to the texture and density of the cookies. YUMMY!

neworangepepper -I guess it's safe to say you've never cooked with beer or wine. LOL you should really try it. The alcohol if you cook it right burns off & it doesn't taste like beer/wine but it does have a different taste. Also if you decide to cook with wine use a wine that you like & would drink not one that you don't or cooking wine(doesn't taste good)

They put beer in it because the point of it is "beer and pretzels" cookies and contrary to your belief it has a pleasant flavor to others. Why don't you make regular chocolate chip cookies if you don't like beer/alcohol?

the cookies look cute but, why would you want to ruin a perfectly good cookie by putting Beer/ Alcohol in it? Beer/Alcohol should not be put in anything at all.
