Ingredients

Streusel

1/4: cup Honey Nut Cheerios® cereal

2: teaspoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

2: teaspoons packed light brown sugar

2: teaspoons butter or margarine, softened

Muffins

1 1/2: cups Honey Nut Cheerios® cereal

1: pouch (6.4 oz) Betty Crocker® banana nut muffin mix

1/2: cup milk

1: tablespoon vegetable oil

1: egg

Directions

1 Heat oven to 400°F. Place paper baking cup in each of 6 regular-size muffin cups or spray bottoms only of muffin cups with cooking spray.
2 Place 1/4 cup cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag. Using rolling pin, slightly crush cereal; pour into small bowl. Stir in flour, brown sugar and butter until crumbly. Set aside.
3 Place 1 1/2 cups cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag. Using rolling pin, slightly crush cereal; set aside. In medium bowl, place muffin mix, milk and oil. Stir in egg just until moistened (batter will be lumpy). Stir in crushed cereal. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups. Sprinkle streusel evenly over tops.
4 Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until muffins are golden brown and tops spring back when touched lightly. Immediately remove from muffin cups. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

these where amazing!!!! hands down they were quick, easy, and had some fun making them. The smell that filled the house was very nice and they were soft and fluffy on the inside. just perfect

Awesome muffins!.... I added a mashed fresh banana and 1 cup of chocolate chips and they were the most intense banana flavored muffin I've ever made.

Such a great, easy & tasty muffin. We enjoyed these very much. I didn't use egg but used 1 banana instead. I also used regular cheerios & apple jacks (all I had). I think it's impossible to mess up these muffins. Enjoy.
