This is a keeper. Used refried black beans. Also chopped up extra tomatoes, sweet onion, lettuce, sour cream, for addtional toppings. Served with niblet corn. It looked kinda sketchy (not appettising) before putting in casseole dish, however was yummy. My husband is excited since he'll have this for his lunch tomorrow.

This sounds great. I want to exchange the green peppers for jalpenos or green chilies. Has anyone tried that?

I made this quite a few times already and my family loved it. It is quick and easy and you will be done in no time. It also keeps well in the fridge but there is usually none left after the night I cook. I recommend this receipe for sure!

Made this for dinner tonight DELICIOUS! Even my picky 8 yr old liked it. I think I would leave out the peppers next time but it was still great even w/ them in. We are just not big pepper fans. Definitely making again!

I made this recipe as printed and my husband loved it. In order for me to like it more, I would make some changes. I would omit the chips on the bottom, use only half to 3/4 can of beans, use only half of the taco seasoning or make my own cutting back on the cumin, use canned chopped tomatoes, add Mexicorn and/or black beans, and follow the rest of the recipe as is. I agree that this could make a good dip, albeit a little chunky.

Add me to the list of fans! This was absolutely delicious, quick and easy to make. I substituted a can of drained Rotel Diced Tomatoes and Chilis for the regular tomatoes, but otherwise followed recipe to the letter. (The green onions didn't add much in my opinion, so I may skip those next time.) I know some reviewers commented on the sogginess of the chip base, but that's what I like about it...you got the subtle zing of chips mixed in with the beef and beans, plus the bonus crunch of the topping. Will definitely make this again. And again. And again.
