I made this with vegetable broth instead of water, and it turned out pretty good! Had to add salt too. Next time I will add some Italian seasoning to add even a little more flavor. I imagine it would turn out pretty bland if made as directed. It's nice to have a recipe to turn to that you can make out of items already in your pantry, though.
