Ingredients

2: cups graham cracker crumbs

1 1/2: cups margarine

2: cups powdered sugar

2: eggs

1: teaspoon vanilla extract

2: cups crushed pineapple

2: sliced bananans

1: 16 oz. cool whip

: marachino cherries

: chopped nuts

Directions

1 Melt 1/2 cup of margarine and graham cracker crumbs in 9x13 glass dish.
2 Beat the powdered sugar, eggs, vanilla, and remaining margarine for 20 minutes. Put on top of crust and chill for another 20 minutes.
3 Spread pineapple and sliced bananas on top of mixture. Spread cool whip on top and garnish with chopped nuts and cherries.
4 Refrigerate until ready to eat.

Made this today for someone who loves banana splits. I tweaked it so it didn't have the pineapple or cherries, but I used a strawberry pile filling where the pineapple would've gone. It looks very pretty and I drissled chocolate over the peanuts and fresh strawberries I used to garnish the top. I can't stomach bananas, but I have to admit it does look good. I'll give it a 5 for appearance. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks. :)

this cake is very GOOD..I make this cake when ever I have guest for dinner and they all rave about it and ask for seconds and the recipe for it. It is a big success at my house.
