We’re listening! And it sounds like many of you are concerned about the nutrition of this recipe. Our blogger recipes do not go through nutritional testing like our Betty Crocker Kitchens created recipes so that’s why you don’t see those details. We took “protein” out of the recipe title as it seems like you felt it was a little misleading. Give the recipe a try – Brooke has a passion for adding extra nutrition to baked goods her family loves.

This was THE WORST "thing" ever. I never comment on the quality of recipes, however this was a joke! Don't waist your time on this!!! I don't think it deserves even one spoon in ratings but there isn't any other option.

These are great! MY whole family loved them and i was glad to serve a dessert that had the extra protien in it. Ive made them twice once using vanilla protien powder and once using chocolate, both were a hit! ALso to the other reviewers.DONT RATE IT UNLESS YOU TRY IT. You lower the average rating for nonsence reasons. Two people rated only 1 star because they couldnt be bothered to look up the nutrition info themselves and one person thought it SOUNDED too sweet so they gave it a lousey rating as well. The ratings are for people to know what others thing of the finished product, not your opinion of what you THINK it could possibly turn out to be. Use your brain.

In response to these other "reviews," To determine the nutritional information, take 10 minutes of you time and assess the nutrient value of each ingredient. There are programs like My Fitness Pal that make this super easy. As for the issue of sugar, just don't top them with frosting. I agree that topping a "protein bar" with frosting is a bit counter-intuitive. You could probably even ditch the syrup. Although, 2 TBSP really isn't much, but understandably so for some people. Pecans and dark chocolate do have redeeming nutritional value.

These sound more like "sugar bars" than protein bars. And looks more like cake than a bar. Hmmmm, back to the drawing board with this recipe...

I thought about trying these, but there was no nutrition information. How is one to know the amount of protein in "protein" bars?
