AMAZING! I love baklava and these are a wonderful twist on my favorite dessert. The lemon adds an interesting flavor, slight more tangy than traditional baklava, but still great. I have had some baklava where the honey flavor was overwhelming, but the combo of the walnuts, honey, lemon and cinnamon flavors blend very well in this recipe giving it a slightly different, but still very delicious flavor. The crispiness from the phyllo dough give the mouth feel, texture and "crunch" of traditional baklava. I cut these into small squares, placed in a cupcake liner and drizzled with honey. They will be served at our upscale school auction tonight and I have no doubt that they will go fast!

These are great & not hard to make. I had gotten the ingredients to make at Christmas but ran out of time. When I needed a desert for a church pot-luck I thought of trying this out since I already had the ingredients purchased. The bars was the talk of the pot-luck and not one bite left. I had numerous persons asking for the recipe so there was more than just me liking this recipe version. Definately a keeper.

These bars are wonderful! Very easy to make! My husband can not have nuts so I use coconut. A "must have recipe" for anyone's recipe collection!

This recipe is soooo easy, especially compared to regular Baklava! I made this for a Christmas party at work and everyone LOVED it! People were asking me for the recipe left and right. I highly recommend this easy but decadent tasting recipe!

When I do not have time to make baklava from scratch, this is the recipe I reach for. The only change I make is crumbling the entire box of phyllo cups on top. If the pan will be for "home" use, I double the glaze. If it is for a party, I do not double it as it is a little messy for serving but I always make sure to take a copy of the recipe with me. LOVE THIS!!!
