Like to try new things on your grill? Here's a delicious grilled potato you cook buried in salt!

So why not put potatoes in microwave for a few minutes, then take them out and toss them on the grill next to the chicken? then, they're done at the same time?

These were wonderful; smoky and wonderfully tender. I baked these on the grill, then transferred pan to a 250 degree oven to keep warm while I grilled the chicken to go along with it.

We had had these at Blackie''s in DC and thought they were delicious. They had left some salt on the potato. We did these and took off all the salt. They are soooo good!! I didn''t completely surround them as above, I oiled them, 1 inch of salt on bottom and surround and topped with salt. Covered with aluminum foil and done. Also saves on summer days having to heat the house up for an hour+ for potatoes.THANKS!!!

Good idea about the salt added to the potatoes and being able to reuse. I had''nt none how long to cook them before . Thanks
