Whoever said this was bland must have left something out! This recipe was sooo EASY, delicious and had TONS of flavor. I did season the drumsticks with a little salt & pepper before browning them. The spice pack that comes with Uncle Ben's Long Grain & Wild Rice together with the garlic and herb cream cheese spread lended all the flavor the dish needed. The rice had a creamy texture, and the vegetable were roasted tender, keeping alll their yummy flavors, especially the butternut squash! With so few calories, this will be a new rotating dish in my house :o)

I'm sorry to say this was a disappointment and I should have know better. Onions and garlic were not called for in this recipe but I added anyway and still this was a BLAND dish. The colors are beautiful but there was absolutely no taste. If you decided to cook this please add salt and pepper but don't expect to have much flavor. I like flavorful foods and if your family does also then skip this one.

This recipe turned out fabulous. I did have the spreadable garlic and herb cheese, and it gave the dish nice flavor. I also put in two boxes of rice, and it was the perfect amount of rice. Next time I make it I'm going to use cut up chicken breast and mix it into the rice and veggies.

This was my first time eating wild rice and I was a little unsure. This meal is absolutely fabulous. I am so glad I tried it. I used the legs. instead of the garlic and herb spread I used Italian seasoning, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese.

This casserole was delicious! I would recommend using boneless thighs instead of bone in, its alot easier to eat especially for kids.

My grocery store was out of butternut and zucchini, so instead I made this with acorn squash and roasted eggplant, I also used skinless chicken breasts... and completely forgot to put in the cream cheese. So *technically* I only used the recipe as a guide, but it still turned out amazing. My point being that using the base of chicken and rice, you can substitute any winter vegetables in that you can find!

Really good, and very simple! I made it for my family and everyone liked it, even the toddlers ;) Next time I might double the rice and add more salt. Overall, i loved it, and sent two people home with the recipe. Also, i used half water/half chicken broth. Look for the cheese in the deli section (also called Pub Cheese) - laughing cow makes some.

I really liked this casserole. It was easy and healthy with great flavor. I couldn't find the spreadable cheese, so I used onion and chive cream cheese, it was really good. Will do again.
