cups (one large can) bbq baked beans any brand

slices bacon, chopped 1/2 inch pieces
1
medium red onion, finely chopped
1/4
cup brown sugar(reduce if using beans with brown sugar)
1
tsp coarse black pepper
2
Tbl chopped parsley leaves(optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Poor beans into casserole dish and place in oven.
  2. In a small nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium high heat 2-3minutes. Add onions and cook 3 minutes longer. Slide beans out of oven. Scatter onion bacon mixture around beans. Sprinkle brown sugar and pepper over onion bacon mixture.
  3. Bake beans additional 10 minutes. Garnish beans with parsley if desired.
