Specialty of my grandmothers- rich chocolate torte with Bailey's Irish Cream liquour and whipped cream.

ladyfingers, split lengthwise

cup Bailey's Irish Cream liquour

cups whipping cream, whipped
Chocolate curls
  1. In medium saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat; stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Slowly whisk in egg yolks; cook and stir over low heat until thick and glossy.
  2. In large bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Slowly fold in chocolate mixture. Set aside.
  3. Dip ladyfingers in Baileys' liquour. Place about 24 ladyfinger halves around sides of ungreased 10-inch springform pan. Break up remaining 24 ladyfingers halves; place in bottom of pan.
  4. Spoon chocolate mixture over ladyfingers in bottom of pan. Cover; refrigerate about 1 hour or until chocolate is set. Spoon whipped cream over chocolate mixture. Garnish with chocolate curls.
