cups elbow macaroni

tablespoon salt

cups water

pound bacon
6
tablespoons flour
2
cups evaporated milk
2
teaspoons Worcestershire
1
large onion (chopped)

cups grated cheddar cheese
1
packages sausage links
  • 1 Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until al-dente. Save and drain water to make 4 cups.
  • 2 Fry bacon and drain. Keep 6 tablespoons of bacon fat. Add the chopped onion. Cook until clear. Add th flour to make a rue. Remove from heat and slowly add the evaporated milk and the water reserved from cooking the macaroni. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the Worcestershire and cheese. Add the cooked macaroni and bacon and mix well.
  • 3 Cook sausage links and place them on top of the dish before placing in the oven.
  • 4 Bake in 350 degree F oven for 15 minutes.
