This was great! I did not taste the green pepper at all. I should have cooked the bacon a little longer because it was chewy in my dish, but very flavorful. Excellent! Next time, I would like to try flavored herb bread crumbs, instead of cornbread crumbs.

Made this for the first time ever to go with Thanksgiving turkey. Left out the bell pepper and used extra bacon, but must say, I was disappointed - it wasn't that good. The best recipe I've ever made for stuffing is Rachel Ray's cranberry orange stuffing. Nothing else comes close.

My daughter's fiancee' came to Thanksgiving this year for the first time. So to celebrate "the new", I introduced several new recipes into our dinner. This stuffing mix was a huge success!! He told my daughter later that it was "the best stuffing he had ever had in his life." I left out the bell peppers for fear of overpowering the smell of the main ingredients. I wanted more influence on the flavors of the bacon and the cranberries. Sauteeing them together in the bacon grease was a great way to combine the flavors! I made this a bit ahead of time and when I heated it up, I simply poured on a little chicken broth to moisten. Thank you, Betty Crocker!!
