I made these for my baby shower, but i used mini cupcakes. COuldnt get the stick to go through the cupcake liner so we had to take the liners off. Turned out cute and they were yummy! Wish i would have seen the tip to use dumdum pops...I will know for next time.

My mom made these for my daughter's baby shower. They turned out adorable. The dum dum idea would have been better than the gum drops. Every one of the gum drops totally split up after a couple hours. Didn't look pretty! And the lollipop stick would have been better if a popsicle stick was used. You can get colored popsicle sticks at the craft supply store. We used the round lollipop stick and when someone picked up the stick with the cupcake on it, the cupcake twirled around to face the bottom of the plate. Although adorable, they were a disappointment. My mom is a professional cake decorator, so this was not a pleasant experience for her.

I baked a batch of carrot cake cupcakes to use to make the rattles for a baby shower. I could see right through the colored cupcake papers so I made another batch using two to three cupcakes papers for each cupcake. That worked fine. Wish I had read the review regarding dum dum lollipops..what a great idea.

I used Dum-Dums (lollipops) as the bottom and it was easier then buying the sticks and the gumdrops and it looked just as cute!
