I think with some modifications this could be a lot better. My husband and I disagree on the flavor; I thought it was very bland and needed something, he said it was great. However, unless I missed a step somewhere, there's no way for this to get cooked through in the amount of time it says. I was really unimpressed, but feel that with some minor changes on my end I would possibly make this again. However, as it is right now, I wouldn't.

These were amazing. I rarely use anything out of the box except for Potatoes Au Gratin however, never again. I made this today for my family and cannot wait to make them for friends the next time we have a casual dinner party. They were absolutely delicious. The only thing I changed was the cheese, I substituted A cup of Colby jack for one of the cups of Cheddar because it is what I had handy. Also the next time I make macaroni and cheese I will be topping it with the breadcrumb/Cheddar/paprika mixture. It was scrumptious. Thank You so much for this wonderful recipe.

these were wonderful! the only thing I did different from what the recipe stated was add half the potato slices in dish, then pour on half of the cheese sauce, then added the other half of the potatos and the rest of the cheese sauce on top -- that way the sauce is all the way through instead of just on top.

These are awesome! I made them gluten-free by switching out the flour for corn starch (which brought out the cheese flavor more so) and by omitting the bread crumbs.
