Take good old apple pie a step further with fresh pears and dried cranberries. The filling’s tart sweetness it nicely offset by a crumbly brown-sugar-and-walnut topping.

Good combination of fruits but it lacked a bit in spices. I would up them a bit as well as the sugar (my fruit were not overly ripe). My company enjoyed it but all commented on the need for more spices. Great warm with ice cream though.
