The iconic cocktail of the Big Apple gets an apple-friendly update of its own, in this tart and tangy take on a classic cocktail.

Ingredients

  • Ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup bourbon (2 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons apple-flavored liqueur (1 oz)
  • 1 maraschino cherry with stem
  • 2 apple slices

Steps

    In cocktail shaker with ice, shake bourbon and liqueur until blended. Pour into chilled martini glass, straining out ice. Garnish with cherry and apple slices.

    Serve the cocktail on the rocks instead of in a martini glass. Fill a glass with ice, then pour the drink over ice.

    Premix enough bourbon and liqueur (without ice) for 4 or more cocktails, then refrigerate. Once guests arrive, pour into martini glasses and enjoy.
