I have all the ingredients but "carmel sauce". We ate it on ice cream--is there a substituete for the carmel sauce? This looks so good!!!!!!!

So nice to hear about the Splenda instead of sugar. I'm always looking for ways to reduce carbs.

I love this! My husband raved about it! The vanilla in the crust is something I want to try in other pies. So good and something different from the normal apple pie.

this is a great recipe. Different than apple pie. My husband said he liked better than pie. Haven't done it yet but chopped walnuts would taste great too.

Had to come up with a quick dessert the other day for some friends I had coming over. Because I was in a hurry, I used store-bought pie crust that I had in the fridge, so I actually made two crostatas. I put a couple more apples in and used "Splenda" instead of sugar as 2 of my guests are diabetic. I also put a tsp. of cinnamon in the flour/Splenda mixture before I tossed with the apples. I left the peel on about 1/2 of the apples. I sprinkled both with a little bit of real sugar and cinnamon and baked. They were scrumptious! I will make this over and over!

Love this! I've made it with premade pie crust, pie crust mix, and from scratch. Always turns out nice and a delicious treat for apple season (or anytime!).

Love this recipe!!! Was done quickly with excellent flavor. Blind your eyese and they were all gone. The recipe made 8 when I re-rolled the left-over crust. I increased the apples to 4 medium apples, the sugar to 4 Tablespoons and the cinnamon to 1/2 tsp. Also measured a saucer to use to cut out the crust and it worked great. Thank you for this great recipe! Barb B
