I followed shorthairgirl's hint and put the apple pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture. That way the apples didn't fall off or made it hard to store. This was absolutely delicious. I will definitely make it again, but next time, I think I will try peach pie filling.

Taste like something from a high end bakery. Thought I died and went to "Heaven". What a way to start the day.

This was sooooo good. I baked the pie filling inside with the cream cheese. My husband sighed and said, "I'm going to get fat."

Can't wait to try this ... Love anything apple. Used to make a similar recipe to this using frozen bread dough, cinnamon chips, drizzled with vanilla glaze.

My husband loves anything and everything made with cream cheese so I thought this would be a huge hit. I was right, he loves this. I made it with blueberry pie filling and put the filling inside on top of cream cheese. Can't wait to try it with another fruit filling. Very good and easy.

very tasty! I will probably use a little less lemon juice next time, as some bites tasted somewhat overwhelmingly lemony. I would definitely suggest cooking the apple inside of the dough, instead of putting it on top. also, I used fresh apples and followed the Betty Crocker pie filling recipe that uses sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg to season the apples, and it worked wonderful.
