Did I miss something but where do you put the pie filling> do you mix it with the cream cheese filling or place on top of the filling and then fold over the strips?

This was so easy and taste great. I used homemade apple pie filling and it turned out just like the picture. Next time I am going to try it with the filling inside so that you can see the braid. We didn't have any left over!

This is fantastic! A local bakery sells a pastry like this, but every time I get to the counter, they are sold out. Now, I don''t need to bother. It''s quick and easy, but I wouldn''t put the apple filling on top until ready to serve. The pastry will get soggy.

I made this recipe during the Christmas holidays and my family went wild. The pastry simply melts in your mouth. I promised to try other fillings, but I doubt any would be more delicious than apple. It was so easy to make and the finished product was so pretty. Great to serve guests and impress!!

I am 10 thumbs in the kitchen, but this was sooo easy and everyone loved it. I am making it again for New Years Day - just changing the fruit.

This was a delicious breakfast bread! I took it to our office for a breakfast & topped with some homemade apple pie filling. Several people thought it was a boughten bread and were suprised when I told them it was homemade and soooo simple to make! Next time I think I will make the bread a bit wider and put the fruit filling inside the bread...the braiding didn't show up after adding the apple topping so what was the point of braiding it? The bread baked up beautifully and was very tasty! No leftovers so I don't have anything to add on the refrigeration. Will definitely be making in the future for breakfast when we have company!

I just wanted to say that I too take recipe copies with me so that allergy sufferers won't be in harms way and so I can hand out the recipe. Instead of using canned filling I make my own from chopped cooked apples, honey and cinnamon. At the last minute I stir in some pear preserves. Outta the ballpark good!
