Expert Tips

Unlike fresh cranberries, dried cranberries are available year-round and can be used like raisins when baking.

Tart cooking or baking apples work best in this dessert. Choose from these varieties: Braeburn, Cortland, Empire, Granny Smith, Greening, Haralson, Ida Red, Newtown Pippin, Prairie Spy, Rome and York Imperial. Try them all to find your favorites!
