Ingredients

cups 1/2-inch slices peeled apples (about 4 medium)
1
cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1
teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2
cup granulated sugar
3/4
cup old-fashioned oats
1/2
cup packed brown sugar
1/2
cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/2
cup butter or margarine, softened
1
teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°. Toss apples, cranberries, orange peel and granulated sugar in large bowl.
  • 2 Mix remaining ingredients in medium bowl until crumbly. Press 1 cup of the oat mixture in ungreased square baking dish, 8x8x2 inches. Spread apple mixture over top. Sprinkle with remaining oat mixture.
  • 3 Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and apple mixture is bubbly around edges. Cool 30 minutes. Serve warm.

This turned out even better than expected! The cranberries and orange zest added a nice zing to the dish. Everyone wanted MORE! :) I had a little trouble getting the crumble to actually crumble on the top, but other than that it was quite easy.
