Ingredients

cup Apple Cinnamon Cheerios® cereal
3/4
cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
3/4
cup milk
2/3
cup chunky applesauce
3
tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2
teaspoons baking powder
1/4
teaspoon salt
1
egg
Maple-flavored syrup

  • 1 Heat griddle or 12-inch skillet over medium-low heat or to 325°F.
  • 2 Place cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag. Using rolling pin, crush cereal; pour into large bowl. Stir in all remaining ingredients except syrup just until moistened.
  • 3 Onto hot griddle, pour batter by generous 1/4 cupfuls for each pancake. Cook 2 minutes or until edges look cooked and bubbles begin to break on surface. Turn pancakes; cook other side about 2 minutes longer or until golden brown. Serve with syrup.

Just tried these this morning. Delicious but very moist inside. I had a hard time getting the inside to cook. I recommend leaving them on the griddle longer or pop them in the oven as they come off the griddle to cook the middle through. Or make with less applesauce. Also, it makes about 10 small-med sized pancakes (with the 1/4 cup pour). Enjoy
