I haven't made this yet but some very similar to this one. It doesn't need to be refrigerated because the alcohol is the preservative. However, I always store vodka in the refrigerator or freezer; that way you don't have to worry about ruining perfectly good vodka. Cheers!!!

What a super fun idea to give! You can use a mason jar to store the vodka - it will last several weeks in the fridge before the flavor starts to decline. You can also store vodka in the freezer. Since it has a high alcohol content, it won't get solid or expand. Yeah!

Does anyone know which jars to use or how to seal jars of alcohol? Is it the regular mason jars one can find at places like Target and Walmart? Is it the hot water sealing method? I've never sealed a jar or canned anything, so instructions would be helpful!

The alcohol will basically "preserve" the apple and cinnamon stick. It won't rot, is shelf-stable and does not need to be refrigerated. Gotta love that it's listed as one serving, but I don't think I could drink 2 cups of vodka in one sitting (haha!)

it's alcohole. it preserves the stuff in it automaticly. let it sit to suit your taste. 1 week or 1 month, your call. refridgerate if you want. do you usually refridgerate your bottles of booze?

I have all of the same questions! How long to let it sit for a stronger taste? Does it have to be refridgerated? (That's an important one!) And mixture ideas for drinks would be great! Also, how long does it keep for, shelf life?
