This salad is absolutely delicious. I have made it for a bridal shower and a men's lunch - there was nothing left in the bowl! Several have asked for the recipe. The dressing is very fresh tasting, and the combination of nuts-gorgonzola-apples is perfect. This is a winner!

I have cider vinegar, white vinegar, basalmic vinegar & red wine vinegar; do you think I could substitue one of those?

This salad was SO good! We usually have leftover salad, but not this time! At first a few of us wondered how the combination would taste (especially the strong-smelling dressing) but it ended up tasting VERY good! The dressing wasn't too strong-tasting, and the apples and walnuts added just enough sweetness and crunchiness!

At this stage in my life( age 40) I am trying to change my eating habits. So I decided that I wanted to eat more fruits and vegetables, without eating the same way that I am use to. I tried the Walnut Salad for my family. The salad was a hit. I really loved the flavors as they came together. The salad dressing was even better the following day. I would make this again and again. I have already shared this recipe it with two of my co-workers.

I served this at a bridal shower - the women were crazy about it. The dressing is fresh and zingy and such a great complement to the blue cheese, walnut and apples. I liked it so much I prepared it for dinner at home this evening. There was nothing left but an empty bowl!
