EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

There's no need to remove the crusts from the bread. Also, purchase the cheese already shredded in an 8-ounce package.

Layer 2 medium green onions, thinly sliced, with the bread, bacon, apples and cheese.

I think this would be better with sausage(maple)instead of bacon and not much bread, more cheese

This recipe is very easy to prepare. I especially appreciate that it can be assembled the night before and refrigerated overnight. I made it for a football tailgate and everyone rated it "a touchdown." The combination of flavors is mouthwatering.

This recipe is really easy to make, and handy when I have old bread on hand. Some of my family really liked it, but I personally didn't prefer the flavor of bacon and apples. I agree with Aubrey, there was almost too much bread. Overall a recipe worth trying, though!
