I think this would be better with sausage(maple)instead of bacon and not much bread, more cheese

This recipe is very easy to prepare. I especially appreciate that it can be assembled the night before and refrigerated overnight. I made it for a football tailgate and everyone rated it "a touchdown." The combination of flavors is mouthwatering.

This recipe is really easy to make, and handy when I have old bread on hand. Some of my family really liked it, but I personally didn't prefer the flavor of bacon and apples. I agree with Aubrey, there was almost too much bread. Overall a recipe worth trying, though!

I made this for a New Years Brunch and it was a big hit - I doubled the recipe except for the apples which I just put in the center layer. It was very good - would have been nice to have had either some warm maple syrup or some Hollandaise sauce to give it a little something extra - but it all disappeared anyhow.

I used a little too much bread and needed too add more cheese but the apples were delicious and everyone loved it for breakfast, it was nice and easy.

I like to make a "strata-like" dish for Christmas breakfast because I can put it together ahead of time and bake it while we open our gifts...this is wondeful and tasty! Even the combination of flavors says fall/winter holiday to me! It''s even good the next day.
