Serve up refreshing fresh fruit with angel food cake and yogurt. The layering makes it impressive.
cup cubed angel food cake
cup quartered fresh strawberries
cup cubed peeled mango
cup cubed cantaloupe or honeydew melon
medium banana, sliced
cup Yoplait® 99% Fat Free creamy vanilla yogurt (from 2-lb container)
tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted*
In 2 parfait glasses or dessert bowls, alternate layers of cake, fruit, yogurt and almonds.
Top each serving with almonds. Serve immediately.
*To toast almonds, bake uncovered in ungreased shallow pan in 350°F oven about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Or cook in heavy skillet over medium-low heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently until browning begins, then stirring constantly until golden brown.
You can use 1 (6-oz) container of Yoplait® Original 99% Fat Free very vanilla yogurt instead of the yogurt in the recipe if you like.
