These are really excellent! I left out the almond paste and the almonds and added a little extra almond extract. East to make and my kids love them with jam!

I've been looking for a good homemade scone recipe for quite a while; I finally found it. The texture was good and it had a nice firm (not quite crisp) outer crust. I altered it just a bit; I added 1/2 c. huckleberries instead of almonds and used 1/2 tsp. vanilla. They were awesome!!!
