These sound yummy; I once had a recipe which sounds very similar to this and could even be the same one. I can tell you that it was delicious and went over very well for people who like Almond Joy candy bars. I don't recall using the candy bars though but rather coconut, almonds and maybe sweetened condensed milk; this sounds like an abbreviated version of it and like something one would enjoy. I'll definitely try it. Glad to see something that made me recollect the recipe I lost.

For Eldyne...I'd think that you could use the miniature almond joy bars cut in 1/3rds...or just do a mixture of milk choc chips and some shredded coconut and sprinkle over bars instead of candy bars! Experiment a little, I'm going to try that this weekend...you might come up with an easier version that tastes just as good and not as expensive!

Sounds like a great recipe, but what is coconut and almond candy? I have never heard of it.

I love almonds so this recipe attracted my attention. I haven't made them, only read through the recipe. I probably will not make it, though it sounds yummy. The required purchase of candy bars makes them a little pricey. Maybe there could be a way they could be made from scratch, but cooking experimentation is not one of my talents!
