EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

For a great side dish, add fresh orange segments to a simple tossed salad dressed with your favorite vinaigrette.

The creamy chicken mixture must be hot before dropping on the biscuit topping. The heat helps cook the bottoms of the biscuits.

This was very easy. I made mine with out the biscuits on top, and no peas, I covered the top with grated parmesan cheese. I put it in a heavy crock in a low oven for several hours. I made home made biscuits just before serving. I also severed the peas on the side, so you could sprinkle them over the top if you like peas. Then I served the biscuits cut open then spooned the chicken and sauce over the top then sprinkled the peas. Very good I will make again.

My family loved this recipe. I trippled the recipe and cooked it with raw boneless chicken thighs, cut up, and cooked it all in my large Crockpot, on low. I omitted the Biscuit part, and later baked Bisquick biscuits in my oven before dinner ( the recipe is on the box ). I had lots of leftover sauce and meat for another meal. It was even better the 2nd time, served over cooked rice. **Add the frozen peas after stirring the sauce, near the end of the cooking time, they only take a short time. ** I used 2 15-ounce bottles of roasted garlic Alfredo sauce. I wanted plenty of sauce to serve over the biscuits. The chicken thighs were so tender; this recipe has been requested again by my teens and husband. Yummy.

I used three chicken breasts, doubled everything else, added thyme and garlic powder. I also used canned peas instead of frozen. My sister who hates peas even liked it. Easy and tasty.
