| 4 | large cooking apples |
| 1/3 | cup packed brown sugar |
| 1/4 | cup sweetened dried cranberries |
| 1/2 | cup cranberry-apple drink |
| 2 | tablespoons butter or margarine, melted |
| 1/2 | teaspoon ground cinnamon |
| 1/4 | teaspoon ground nutmeg |
| Chopped nuts, if desired |
| 1. | Core apples. Fill centers of apples with brown sugar and cranberries. Place apples in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. |
| 2. | In small bowl, mix cranberry-apple drink and butter; pour over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. |
| 3. | Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours. |
| 4. | To serve, spoon apples into dessert dishes. Spoon sauce over apples. Sprinkle with nuts. |
