Poppy Seed Fruit Salad

What's more inviting than fresh fruit? An extra-special combo of honey, frozen limeade and poppy seed tossed with the freshest fruit.

1/4cup honey
1/4cup frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
2teaspoons poppy seed
1cup strawberries, cut in half
1cup cubed pineapple
1cup fresh blueberries
1cup cubed watermelon
1/4cup slivered almonds, toasted, if desired
1.In medium bowl, mix honey, limeade concentrate and poppy seed.
2.Carefully toss fruit with honey mixture. Sprinkle with almonds.
To toast nuts, bake uncovered in ungreased shallow pan in 350°F oven about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Or cook in ungreased heavy skillet over medium-low heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently until browning begins, then stirring constantly until golden brown.

Substitution
You can use any kind of fresh fruit that you like in this salad. Try cantaloupe, raspberries, honeydew melon, kiwifruit, grapes or oranges.
Time Saver
Purchase cut-up fresh fruit from the produce department of the grocery store. You'll need about 4 cups.
Variation
For Creamy Honey Orange Fruit Salad, mix 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon orange juice. Toss fruit with creamy mixture.
